Some Examples of Our Work...
The Global Cruising Club is a site used by sailors who are cruising the world. Not only is it a way to connect with other sailors who may be in your area or have similar interests, it also offers some powerful reporting features that can be useful for those at sea. One issue addressed is that at sea there is no internet access yet, so people use ham radio to communicate. We've made it possible for sailors to send in their current position and blog posts via ham radio so that family and friends can keep track of them even on ocean crossings. It also has an integrated wiki for ports and marinas around the world so that sailors can keep up to date information on ports, and request that information also via ham radio.
The New Mexico Voice is a niche newspaper based out of Albuquerque, New Mexico, with a reader base of over 50,000. We created an online community for them where readers can network, and where they can post news between the biweekly issues of the paper. Also, as a custom implementation for the paper, classifieds and events can be posted online and exported for print in the paper.
